Strength:

Colour saturation is fantastic. Very fine grain.

Weakness:

None

This is the only colour print film I use now. I do a lot of underwater photography and the colours it produces are very life-like. Most other colour print films come out very heavily blue in my experience.

Strength:

Excelent Colors.
Very sharp!!
Fine grain.

Weakness:

maby price

This is my favorite film for poraits and flowers. The grain is not visable in 11x14 prints. I bought a roll of this film when I got my Minolta HTsi Plus and I couldn't believe the quality of my prints. Many of the flowers on that roll have been enlarged to 8x10 or 11x14 with natural color and grain. I have yet to see the blue cast in my prints because I use a Fuji developer.

Overall this is my favorite 100 speed film on the market. It may be a little expensive for some though.

How about ISO 200 and 400

I have been using Superia for a few years and am quite satisfied with the results. I recently picked up a Reala evaluation roll and was shocked to see how good the pictures were. The pictures were so sharp as though I was using MF equipment! I have never been so excited about any film before. It will be my primary film from now on.

The film was then scanned with a Nikon LS-30. Noise can be a problem for this scanner. However, the scanned images did not have any noise problem at all. Kodak Supra is no comparison to Reala.

I'm a Leica M6 photograf and I can say that with the Reala I got the beast photos. Even when I use my canon with the Reala the result it's a acceptable. In a few words a very good film. At the moment I can't find a better one,

Strength:

Extremely sharp, Great colors - Especially with a polarizer.
Simply the best

Weakness:

This last emulsion Lacks any weakness. I've used this film since its original emulsion.

I’ve been using Reala since it was first introduced and it just gets better. This Film used to have trouble with indoor flash. But they seemed to have fixed that with this last update (about a year and a half ago). It really does reproduce color the way that your eyes see them; mostly in florescent lighting. It can go a little bit warm in tungsten but only slightly. This film has been scuba diving with me in Belize and all the way to the city of Bangkok and has NEVER let me down.
Today I find Superia 100 to be very similar but with every so slightly punchier colors. Reala though has a slight edge in sharpness; very slight.
One thing I would recommend is that everyone should keep up on their reading to keep track of when any company changes their emulsion. At one point, I knew a few people that did not like Reala for indoor flash use. After I read of Fuji’s last Reala emulsion change, I could see the difference. Read carefully though and watch out for cosmetic changes to the packaging; sometimes that is all that has changed. And don’t be fooled by salesmen who claim to have the NEW film unless it says new.
Reala should be used by everyone who needs accurate to slightly punchy colors along with impeccable sharpness. If you want a great substitute at 2/3 of the price then try Superia 100. You probably won’t be let down.
Someone who is very passionate about photography of all kinds is posting this review. When I don’t like a film, I stop using it. I do go back for a try when I hear about an emulsion change. Superia Reala is the only film that I have never stopped using… Yet!
Fuji should have a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE on this film; they would not lose much money.

Strength:

Very fine grain, nice color most of
the time.

Weakness:

Can be a little flat and washed out
skies if the sun is anywhere near
facing the lens.

Good, but not great, although I have yet to find a print film which is. It works better
on a sunny day than Supra, but still can be a little washed out depending upon the
position of the sun in the sky. It works very well indoors with flash. I do use it a lot
for archaeological and geological photography. On a cloudy day I use Kodak Supra 100.

Strength:

Extraordinary detail in the film.
Clarity

Weakness:

Could be the printing - Too contrasty when sun and shade in same picture.
No detail in shadows

Will continue with film for the clarity and have "prints" done in computer format and do my own prints.

Strength:

Sharp, beautiful colors, especially nice skin tones.

Weakness:

None found so far.

This was the film that sold me on Fuji, up till then, my opinion was "kodak or nothing". My local store was out of Portra 160, and showed me some samples of prints from the Reala, and I decided to try some. Wow, this sure changed my mind about fuji. I'ts a bit warmer than the Portra, but this is actually helpful as far as skin tones are concerned. I'ts also half the price of the Portra.
