Strength:
Strong design of body.
Weakness:
No depth of field. This is a great entry level camera for the beginners. All the AF lenses can be used on the higher models if you ever decide to change bodies later. The camera itself is robust and very capable of meeting most needs. This is my first fully AF 35mm and I am so impressed with it that later on I will get the F80/N80 Customer Service Not needed so far. Similar Products Used: Ricoh |

Strength:
Ease of use, good exposure accuracy. (Unlike most EOS family cameras, you can use Infrared film in AF Nikons.)
Weakness:
No ISO over-ride, no option for remote release. A very good entry-level camera. Why Nikon omitted ISO (film-speed) over-ride is a mystery to me. If you are a serious student or shoot b&w, get the N80 if it's afforable. The N80 can be seen as the modern N6006 (has exposure bracketing, mech cable release, et cetera). Customer Service Nikon USA very good as long as you buy Nikon USA products. (The grey-market "F60" will get less support.) Similar Products Used: N8008, N6006, N90s, F5, N50, F100, N80... |

Strength:
Features, ease to use, cost, manufacture's reputation, lens choices, light weight, versatile
Weakness:
Slow with red eye flash/focus before taking picture In the week that I have owned the camera, I have shot 10 rolls of film from landscapes, to people, to animals and have enjoyed getting my pictures developed. This camera has rekindled the love of taking pictures that I use to have. I don't usually give anything the highest rating available, but for the money, this is a Great Camera. ease of use, great value
Weakness:
no cable release but it's not a big deal to me This camera is everything I expected it to be. I use it in my sports photography business and it produces outstanding results. Autofocus lets me cut some time off my sessions compared to the manual focus camera I had previously used. This a great value and it's a NIKON! Customer Service haven't needed any but I have contacted NIkon about other things and they have always been quick to respond Similar Products Used: didn't even consider another brand after having a Nikon F that is at least 30 years and is still working fine |

Strength:
Solidly built. Has a lot of mass, which means its very stable. Produces good colour combination in most photos, nice built in flash. Good metering systems, Beautiful design, TTL, fully autofocus/manual plus flexibility in letting u choose several preset programmes. Diopter adjustment. Good lens. User friendly. Ergonomically designed! Reliable and has good aftersales service.
Weakness:
heavy for travellers. Slow autofocus compared to conventional EOS. It's value for money. I think its the best and most affordable in its category. Talk about the brains inside. There's no cheaper that i've come to know! Customer Service excellent. Similar Products Used: EOS 300N/Rebel |

Nikon have always been makers of fine 35mm cameras and the N60 is no exception. Unlike similarly priced models its got a metal chassis. Thanks to its auto-programs its good for beginners and experienced photographers have the facility of four manual programs. A great and versatile camera.
Weakness:
I missed the cable release, but I got round to this problem by buying a cable release adaptor. I would recommend this camera to any amature photographer, whether a beginner or experienced. However, professionals will probably go for something costing at least three times as much. Customer Service None required so far. Similar Products Used: Pentax and Ricoh. |

I was a professional photographer. As a professional, I had most of the pro cameras to do portraits and weddings. This camera will provide you with similar results as long as you accept its limitations for what it is, an automatic camera. You can concentrate now on "composition" and leave the technical part to the camera programs.
Weakness:
Only with the automatic focusing of zoom-lenses. Miss cable release. An excellent aumotatic camera and best value for the price. Again, if you want good pictures and a lot of "crowd pleasers" concentrate on compositon and forget about "technical creativity" for that buy yourself a professional, manual camera and "suffer" while you learn! Can't use the lightmeter with non-AF lenses. It's a very good camera for the price. You get a lot for your money, and aside from a few characteristics that I would have liked to see (see "Any Problems?"), it's a great camera that I always take with me for nearly everything. N60 Body
Strength:
It's made of metal, unlike many other cameras in it's class, which are mainly Plastic. This makes it tough. I do quite a lot of travelling... Sling the F60 in the rucksack, and off you go. It doesn't mind too much knocking against your training shoes. Very user friendly, too. Perfect weight for handling and carrying in the rucksack. Never had a problem with the autofocus. Just don't buy a lens that insults the name of Nikon and you'll be fine.
Weakness:
No cable release socket. Annoying, but I get round it by using the self timer. Why hurry? Takes great pics, and the metering is usually spot-on. Good built in flash. Buy this and you won't be disappointed, unless you're a war photographer or something1 Similar Products Used: most in the price bracket |

N60 QD Body
Strength:
It has a solid feel and feels comfortable in my hands. Most usable features including light beam for focussing in dimly lit or dark places- and TTL metering.
Weakness:
Not a problem - a limitation: does not work with auto zoom hot shoe (external) flashes. So I.ve bought a Sunpak MZ440 AF -TTL(Nikon version AF)(that's manual zoom but auto focus). For the price you cannot get a better (I think) camera in terms of value for money. Most features (in its class) v/s price for an amateur/ beginner. It does not pretend to be a F100 but hey that is not where it is aimed at. Customer Service Only for information -guided me over phone- answered my query immediately. Similar Products Used: Canon |
