I like the price most of all.Great begginer body. The lenses you buy can stay with you as you upgrade Nikon body's.This camera has a great weight and balance(for me).Wonderfull photos, bottom line.
Weakness:
none. If your a pro don't buy this camera. All you're going to do is come here and tell us happy N60 owners what we already know, this camera lacks pro features. Why would'nt it?This camera is for beginners and casuals to learn or just have a great time with. This is one of the best if not the best cameras around in it's class, pricewise or other.Do not be discouraged by these people that love to bash products just so they can sound pro,go see for yourself.Sorry about the grammer. Customer Service Not as of yet. Similar Products Used: Minolta, canon. |

Wow! This is what 35 mm SLR should be. Fast and easy but it has depth. Not the best camera in the world but does so much for such a low entry price.
Weakness:
There is no cable-release (a timer) and you cannot try all the experimenting you may read about. Nor can you try the bracketing without doing it yourself. Function wise, it works first time, every time What do you want to do? My first serious SLR is the N60. Now, I have upgraditis (f100 desired) but the N60 is a good, nay best, entry level (and beyond) camera. All cameras could "do more" but this is a step above point and shoot but has point shoot simplicity if desired. This is a no-loss purchase decision. You can do p/s if desired and much more (my night shots are great!) if desired. I love it. Customer Service None needed so far. But they have a great website! Similar Products Used: Other similar manufacturers, Canon, etc. All good but I picked the major name player for peace of mind |

Pictures are sharp as a tack. Weight is perfect. Body is very durable.
Weakness:
None So what if it's missing some perks more expensive camera's offer? You can't beat the value of the N60.If they added any more features it would just confuse or frustrate the beginner. Besides, what's the point of photography if you're going to let the camera do all of the thinking? Customer Service Have not needed it. Similar Products Used: Pentax K1000, Richoh |

Very user friendly, even for the beginner. I particularly enjoy the 5 modes. I have taken some of my best landscapes/nature shots with this camera.
Weakness:
The flash is somewhat harsh in some indoor situations, but that is the only problem I have encountered thus far. This is my first advanced camera, and I am very pleased with the results so far. You get what you pay for, and the N60 is definitely worth the price. Customer Service I have not yet used the customer service. Similar Products Used: I have tried several other big name cameras with similar specs, but I believe the N60 is the most reasonably priced. |

N60 Body
Strength:
Sturdy, very well balanced aluminum body. Accurate metering, good enough auto-focusing. Thick enough to feel solid in the hand, but small enough to get a tight shot. Buys you into Nikon's famous family of AF Lenses.
Weakness:
Missing some valuable features: Multiple-Exposure capability, Auto-Bracketing, spot metering would be nice, but those would come at a higher price. The N60 is a great camera for the beginner that knows what they want, and has actually taken the time to figure out what kind of photography they want to do. This camera is more suited for scenic/outdoor than for indoor photography. Auto-focus may be too noisy for wildlife, but I suppose if you have a good enough telephoto, the animals wont hear you... Great feel; sturdy. Looks pretty cool, people always compliment me on it. Has all the features needed for basic photography. For what you pay for it, you get a lot.
Weakness:
No release cable option. Not preview button, and I can't seem to find the bulb feature. This camera is awsome! I don't plan to be doing any crazy artsy stuff any time soon. It's perfect for someone who just wants to take great pictures of family, trips, and a few fireworks on the 4th of July. Customer Service Not needed. I bought insurance, knowing my luch I'll drop it the day after the manufacture warranty expires. The insurance covers everything, if you drop it in the ocean, but are able to retrieve it the insurance pays for a brand new one. Similar Products Used: Pentax: P&S |

Solid build
Weakness:
None at the beginner to intermediate level. I love my n60. I choose it over the rebel 2000 because of the solid feel, the over build quality and the brighter viewfinder. It takes great pictures and has peaked my interest in photography. Customer Service Haven't needed yet. Similar Products Used: Canon Rebel 2000 |

Strength:
Cheap, small, lightweight.
Weakness:
Slow AF. Wont AF with AF-S lenses. Cant use VR lens. Cant set ISO speed manually. Dark viewfinder. Im not sold on this one. There are too many missing features for a serious amateur. You will outgrow this camera in no time. Also too many technological limitations and lack of foresight (or planned obsolecence?) Similar Products Used: N50, N70, N90s |

Weakness:
Nikkor 28-80 lens AF too slow and loud I think I made a good choice for my first serious amateur camera. It takes great pictures and the built-in flash does well inside it's range. I can't wait to get some different lenses to see how it does - I don't think I'll be dissapointed! Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: Canon EOS |
