Strength:
Nice feel, quality build
Weakness:
No manual iso setting. I honestly dont understand casual photographers who want as much functionality packed into a camera as possible. After a few years of photography I almost always use the Aperture priority function. This allows me to set the depth of field I want or leaving it wide open to freeze action. I also have trouble beliving bracketing, (ex. 3 half stops up and down from your exposure setting), does anything noticeble to unpushed modern film with latitudes from around +3 to -2. I hate to break it to you but the 35mm format does not support the storage of fixed time print info. And I personally feel creatively limited with the finder full of different focus dots. I think that the focus lock works fine on most cameras. I do however understand the need for all the above if your a sports journalist shooting action sports. Customer Service Not needed yet. I like the easyness to carry. nice wieght and are easy to use because you can put in on auto or manual.
Weakness:
non for me, except for the lack of manual options well although oit doesnt compare to the n90 in terms of features it is an all around good camera until you know how to do it manual which this wont help you very much Customer Service no need Similar Products Used: n70 |

Strength:
Simple to control. Very sturdy construction. Not too light, not too heavy. Pretty fast AF. AF assist light. Cheap! Uses Nikon lenses which I have a lot of.
Weakness:
Many problems. In order of severity: This is a camera for those who are starting out. Then it's a d*** good camera for the price. But once you really know what you need to make good pictures consistently in challenging situations, this camera can't make it. AND it cannot be a serious photographer's back up unit. Rugged, reliable, Nikon. This camera is not just for point and shooters, come on. This camera can be used by pros and amateurs alike.
Weakness:
Only 1/2000 shutter top speed. No ISO settings, but so what? How many times do you really push film or buy non DX. For portraits I like it fine and I do some good business. People who tend to call themselves pros or intemediate photographers like to blast a camera with less features. Try being more creative and less picky. Good camera for all around use. It's a nice basic camera, shares lenses with my F100 and it's small enough to carry around.. Missing a few features but big deal.. use some ingenuity.
Weakness:
Just the few missing features that upper end (read: much higher priced) cameras have. IN THE realm of low end SLR's this one is top.. The people bitc***g about missing features are #%^###%@.. Face it it's a budget camera that is stripped down but still takes amazing pictures.. Takes the same lenses as all my other Nikons and is a small STURDY camera.. no other small, low end SLR can compete with its construction of quality.. THE END.. I give it a 4.5 for what it is.. a nice camera at a nice price, seeing though as some rejects gave it such a low score I'll boost it to five to appease the Nikon gods. Cheap, Easy to use, never had any technical problems with it. Lots of high quality Nikon lenses around.
Weakness:
Manual controls left something to be desired. Great beginner camera, however, you could easily out grow it. The N60 is basically a point and shoot with interchangeable lenses and some creative control. Customer Service Never needed it. Similar Products Used: Old Minolta Manual |

I am able to use fully automatic to fully manual and many options between these two extremes.
Weakness:
None so far, but I've only had it for 3 months. As a beginner photographer, I am very happy with the Nikon N60. It is easy to use and I am very happy with the quality of my photos. Customer Service Haven't needed it yet. Similar Products Used: I also have a Minolta X-370 |

Strength:
This camera is perfect for the beginning / casual photographer. It's got ease of use, intuitive interface, and solid construction. Coupled with Nikon's reliability and the adaptability of the lenses, and this is an excellent value. Highly recommended for its price.
Weakness:
Not a single problem. If you're going into an area where you want better pictures, or you want to start having fun with photography, for under $400 with 28-80 lens, this is the best. Similar Products Used: Canon SLR, Canon P&S |

Strength:
The N60 is a good solid beginners camera. It has a good metering system, and a sharp AF. I also like the price.
Weakness:
none. This is a good camera, if you don't plan on growing in photography. But, otherwise, spend the extra $100 on an N70. Would make a good backup camera, because of its ease of use. Customer Service I haven't needed it. Similar Products Used: N70, Pentax ZX-10 |

The price is what caught my Eye. Good camera for anyone who plans on just photographing family get togethers.
Weakness:
Lacks functions, to basic If you are the type of person that is more concerned with impressing onlookers, this camera may be a good coice, but for a person that is more interested in learning the art of photography the N60 lacks the creative tools Customer Service After a month of ownership, and after shooting about 10 rolls or so, the cameras shutter broke. I then toke my camera to the closest Nikon Co. repair shop where I was told to wait for a post card in the mail, telling me that it was ready,[about 3 WEEKS],it was not until 3 MONTHS later that iI recieved that letter Similar Products Used: Canon EOS Ellan IIE, |
