Lustworthy – Vintage Wood Rangefinder Cameras

Lustworthy – Wood Veneer Vintage Rangefinder CamerasI’m a practical and reasonably thrifty guy and my camera gear reflects that. I own a high-end APS-C sensor digital SLR and a mix of pro and consumer lenses – basically, what I need to get the job done – no more, no less. But these restored wood veneer rangefinder cameras by Ilott Vintage make me want to push my usual practical self aside and throw down the credit card.

Restored Mahogany Canonet Rangefinder - Front & Back

Ilott Vintage restores old 35mm rangefinder cameras, giving them a beautiful wood finish, transforming them from simple cameras into works of art. I’ve always liked the old Canonets and the wood veneer makes them even more lustworthy. Luckily for my bank account, the $2000 price tag (give or take a few hundred) is way out of my league. But if you’ve got a couple grand to spare and a hankering for a sweet restored film camera that will also look good in a display cabinet, then you should give Ilott’s cameras a closer look. Check out their Web site for prices, more photos and available cameras:
