Sony announced three new Alpha Digital SLR models, the DSLR-A380, DSLR-A330 and DSLR-A230. These three new DSLRs are designed for first-time digital SLR buyers, making the transition from point-and-shoot to the first steps in DSLR photography easier. The new cameras are smaller, lighter, and easier to use.
The A230 features 10.2 megapixels and is the lightest and most compact alpha DSLR camera body ever. The A330 features 10.2 megapixels and the A380 has 14.2 megapixels. These three cameras are the first to feature Sony’s graphical user interface (GUI) with built-in on-screen Help Guide. The Help Guide gives clear, concise explanations of various modes and settings, and the Graphic Display helps the user understand the relationship between aperture and shutter speed, and the effect each has on photographic results.
Pre-orders will begin on May 18, 2009 at www.sonystyle.com/retail and the cameras will be available in July 2009.
