Pentax has just announced the new Pentax X70 Megazoom digital camera. The X70 is a bridge between a comapct digital camera and a digital SLR. It has a compact, lightweight body and offers flexible exposure modes and powerful shooting options found on a DSLR.
The X70 features 12 megapixels, a 24x optical zoom lens with wide-angle (26mm) to super-telephoto (624mm) coverage, 2.7 inch color LCD monitor, Shake Reduction, Face Detection, and high-definition movie capture.
The Pentax X70 will be available in April 2009 for $399.95.

Very interesting. I think this is PENTAX’s first digital “super-zoom” camera, and the spec list for the X70 looks pretty good.
Also, the X70′s exterior reminds me of the Nikon P90.
