Olympus Tough TG-610 and TG-310 Waterproof, Shockproof and Freezeproof Digital Cameras

Today, Olympus announced two new Tough waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof digital cameras, the TG-610 and TG-310. The Olympus TG-610 features a 5x Optical Zoom and 4x Digital Zoom (28-140mm equivalent in 35mm photography) lens, a 3.0-inch Hypercrystal III scratch-resistant LCD, Automatic Underwater White Balance, 36 Shooting Modes including four underwater scene modes, a Macro LED, Underwater 3D Movie function, and is waterproof to 16 feet, shockproof to 5 feet, and freezeproof to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. The TG-610 will be available in black, red and silver colors.

The Olympus TG-310 features a 3.6x Optical Zoom and 4x Digital Zoom (28-102mm equivalent) lens, a 2.7-inch LCD, 31 Shooting Modes including one underwater scene mode, and is waterproof to 10 feet, shockproof to 5 feet, and freezeproof to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. The TG-310 will be available in blue, orange, red, silver and white colors.

Both the TG-610 and TG-310 Tough digital cameras feature 14-megapixels, 720p HD video recording, HDMI Control, 3D Photo Mode, Olympus’ TruePic III+ Image Processor, a water-repellent lens coating, Dual Image Stabilization, In-Camera Panorama, AF Tracking, Face Detection for up to 12 faces, Beauty Mode, Intelligent Auto Mode, Magic Filters for photos and movies including, Pop Art, Pin Hole, Fish Eye, Soft Focus, Drawing, Watercolor, Sparkle and Punk, Eye-Fi Card compatibility, and SD capability up to 32GB.

The Olympus Tough TG-610 and TG-310 digital cameras will be available February 2011 for $299.99 and $199.99, respectively.
