Earlier this week, Fujifilm announced a new pocket-sized Z-Series “fashion-forward” camera featuring a new 16-megapixel EXR CMOS sensor. The Fujifilm FinePix Z900 EXR camera also has a 16:9 touchscreen LCD display, 1080p full HD video, a new EXR Auto mode and the high-speed CMOS sensor allows a 12 frames per second burst mode and 320 frames per second slow motion video. This Z900 EXR looks like a great option for people who want an easy to carry, stylish and powerful point-and-shoot digital camera.
“When design and function matter the most, the Z900 EXR is the hands-down choice for people who want fast multi touch operation, quick access to full HD video and speedy shooting modes that never miss a shot.”
David Troy, Director of Marketing, Digital Cameras, Electronics Imaging Division |
Fujifilm’s unique EXR sensor is designed to deliver better image quality and offers three special EXR Priority modes: High Resolution (HR), Dynamic Range (DR) and High ISO, Low Noise. The first Super CCD EXR sensors were only used in high-end Fujifilm F and S-Series compact cameras. This is the second time an EXR sensor has been used in a fashionable Z-Series camera and this is the latest reverse CMOS technology instead of the old CCD sensor. Fujifilm is sort of an underdog in the digital camera world right now but that’s certainly not because they don’t make good cameras. In the past couple of years they’ve introduced some of the most compelling point-and-shoot and compact cameras on the market. Combine the EXR CMOS sensor features with the FinePix Z900 EXR’s stylish metal body, widescreen touchscreen LCD display and 1080p HD video with stereo sound and you’ve got a camera that’s looks like a sure winner – especially as a club and party camera!
The Fujifilm FinePix Z900 EXR comes in red, black and blue and will be available in May of 2011. The suggested retail price for the Z900 EXR is $279.95.
