Lexar has begun delivering the first 128 GB SDXC memory cards – the largest SD format cards currently available. The SDXC (eXtended Capacity) format was developed to accommodate 1920 x 1080 HD video files as well as large still image files from high-resolution cameras. The SDXC format was announced in 2009 (SDXC memory card announcement) and the specifications allow for up to TBs of storage on one card. You, you read that right – two terabytes! The new Lexar 128 GB SDXC memory card is the largest capacity SD card delivered to date.
The new 133x Lexar Professional SDXC memory card is guaranteed a minimum speed of 20 MB per second and is available in 64 GB and 128 GB capacities. Pricing is $199.99 for the 64 GB card and $329.99 for the 128 GB card and that includes Lexar’s Image Rescue file recovery software and free technical support.
