Today, Leica announced the new “Titanium” edition of their M9 digital camera. The special edition M9 (500 cameras) is designed by Volkswagen Group’s cheif designer Walter de’Silva and his Audi Design Team.
The Titanium M9 features solid titanium metal accents, leather used in the interiors of Audi’s premium automobiles, and the special edition Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens with solid titanium exterior metal components. New updates to the special edition “Titanium” M9 include, a new LED illumination of the bright-line frames in the viewfinder, a new innovative camera carrying concept with only one single mounting point on the camera body, a newly designed shoulder holster, Scratch-resistant, sapphire-crystal glass to protect the LCD monitor, a hard coating applied to camera surfaces, and a hand-engraved restyled Leica logo.
The Leica M9 Titanium Edition will be available in November.
