At PMA 2010, Joby debuted two new products, the Gorillapod Magnetic flexible tripod and the Ballhead X for Gorillapod Focus Professional Line of photographic equipment.
The original bendable, flexible Gorillapod tripod now has magnets in the feet so that it can be anchored to any magnetic surface. The Gorillapod Magnetic supports compact digital cameras and mini video cameras weighing up to 11.5oz. It weighs 2.5 ounces and is 6-inches tall.
The Ballhead X is designed for the Gorillapod Focus but can accommodate both 3/8″ and ¼” threads, allowing convenient compatibility with any tripod. The Ballhead X is lightweight and compact, constructed from precision-machined anodized aluminum, and can support 5kg (11.1 lb) of equipment. It gives the user full 360° panning and 90° tilt with the reliable support of a Gorillapod on virtually any surface. The Ballhead X for Gorillapod Focus weighs just over 9 ounces and is 3.3-inches tall.
The Joby Gorillapod Magnetic and the Ballhead X will be available in April for $24.95 and $79.95, respectively.
