LOVE this camera. Had a Z33WP and it was okay, image quality was not the best, but for being a waterproof camera, it was good enough and the video on it was excellent. Just got this XP10 to see if the image quality is better — it’s WAY better. I’ve already sold my Z33WP and am considering getting a second of this XP10 for this summer because the kids and I argue over who gets tto take pictures at the pool or beach, et cetera! It’s small, has a solid feel to it, easy to see the LCD screen, dedicated movie button, which is terrific to have, and the image quality is just under my large Canon bridge camera’s quality. Instead of carrying my Canon SX20 around in my purse to have a good camera with me always, I will now be carrying this one. The 5x optical zoom should be enough to give up my 20x zoom for the difference in size and weight between the two cameras. I’m very happy that I got this one instead of spending a hundred more on the Canon D10.

Thanks for you review and feedback, I saw this camera and I my manikey has been bugging me to get this one…
so far the review’s been good but still not enough I think its just too early and not many are out in the consumers hands… This is only going to be an add on to my Pentax K20D (lovely lovely little thing) a portable rough use camera. I guess for the price you cannot go wrong its still under AU$250 in Aus. Time to go shopping :-)

Hi I just bought this camera, and I have a question for others with it. I’m happy with the quality of the pictures, and the 1720p video is decent enough, but the SOUND on my unit in the videos is TERRIBLE and almost non-existent. It’s very faint and muffled – I get more buzz and sounds coming from my hand against the camera than any of the sounds/voices/music from the room which I’m recording. I’m wondering if I might have a faulty unit, the audio in videos seems too bad to be true.

  • Mike says:

Colin, I’ve had the exact same experience. I can’t believe the audio is really this bad. Did you find a fix or get a chance to compare your audio with another unit? YouTube has some samples posted, and while not great, most of the audio seems better than what I’m getting. I’m thinking that we have faulty units but unfortunately this may be a fairly common problem.

    Hello everyone!!!
What`s the maximum deep you have reached with XP10? The fuji specifications tell us just 10ft. Anyone have even reached more than that? I would like to scuba dive with this camera and also I would like to know if you have had any similar experience.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hey
I have the finepix xp10 and its brilliant
The only problem is that after the first time I used it in water, the sound played back through is awful.
Its like a crackly buzzing sound that is heard when watching movies and when it beeps while scrolling through pictures.
Whether I have been given a faulty unit or not, I’m not sure how to fix it
    Does anyone have any tips?
    Thanks x

I just got the XP10 and the first thing I did was test the video. When I played it in VLC the sound was choppy and muffled BUT when played in the BS Player or Windows Media Player it was perfect. Love the camera so far. I dunked it in my sink and all’s good lol

Hi!! I bought the Fuji Finepix XP10 on my birhtday. It was excellent except for the video volume. So now on whenever I take videos with the camera, I remember to talk very loud. I started to learend new and cool things with this camera. But one day, when I turned it on, it started to make a weird sound then it said it had a zoom error. The vision became blurry and I could not take a picture or video without fixing that error. I tried looking online for solutions but most of them did not help. I might have to get a refund since it’s still in warranty. Please if this has happened to any of you, please help me. Thank you!!! Please reply as soon as possible.

Hello!!! This camera rox. Except 4 the terrible video volume. I use it at the pool all the time. It never gets broken. I just remember to fry it before I put it back in the case. And just in case I open up the battery part and dry that part off too. It is wonderful!

  • Michelle says:

Oops I meant dry it not fry it!! Lol!! Srry!
