Not really a comment so much as a question. I purchased a Fujifilm S2000HD and I have to say I really am enjoying it. HOWEVER, I am puzzled as to why the file size goes from 5.6mb to 1.96 from and outside shot to an inside shot? The outside being more mb’s. Are these pix still going to be ok to print off? Can anyone enlighten me on this matter? I would so much appreciate it. Can I change this with a setting of some sort?
Thank you so much for nay time put forth to this matter

    Joann,

I don’t expect you’ll ever see this response but for others who might also wonder about this it is due to the amount of detail in your picture. A photo with trees, grass and other detail will produce a much larger file (in MB) than a photo of a person in front of a white wall where a good percentage of the image hasn’t much detail (the wall). Either photo will look equally well on your computer monitor or in print, it is just the nature of the JPEG format and how it records (compresses) files.
