Digital cameras sure have come a long way in a few short years. Today, Fujifilm announced their newest J-Series digital camera, the 12-megapixel Fujifilm FinePix J38. The J38 offers compact style, features and 12 million pixels of resolution for less than $150. Five years ago any of would have been overjoyed to have a point-and-shoot camera like this – especially for so little money. But in 2009, the J38 is a “great digital camera option for the consumer on a budget who doesn’t want to sacrifice great quality or style for a lower price.”
The Fujifilm FinePix J38 point-and-shoot digital camera has a pocket-sized black metal body, 12-megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD display and Fujifilm’s new SR Auto mode (Automatic Scene Recognition), which automatically chooses from the best of six different scene modes. The J38 also features Face recognition, a panorama mode, automatic redeye correction and a 30 FPS VGA movie mode. For low light shooting the J38 can go as high as ISO 3200 at 3 megapixels or ISO 1600 at full resolution.
The new Fujifilm FinePix J38 digital camera will be available at the end of August for a suggested retail price of $129.95.
