Sony Cybershot TX5 Waterproof Point-and-Shoot Camera
|
Price: $350 |
The pocket-sized Sony CyberShot TX5 is the first waterproof, shockproof camera from Sony. I’ve used it a bunch in the water and playing in the mountains and I’m really impressed. Standout features are a convenient touchscreen display, 720p HD video and Sony’s cool iSweep Panorama mode. It’s a great take-everywhere, do-everything summer pocket camera and it served me well on a recent vacation in Mazatlan, Mexico.

I have the Playsport.. I purchased it the day it was released so I could take it on vacation when we went to Maui, Hawaii. It certainly isn’t anything like my Canon D-SLR (40D), but for something to take to the beach or out snorkeling, it was perfect!!! The photos are pretty decent, the HD video is great, and it’s really fun to be able to take underwater video clips!! We were able to capture the sounds of the whales singing out in the water while I was snorkeling.. here’s the clip I made…
