Anyone who reads my articles regularly knows I love the Clik Elite camera packs. The Clik Elite crew is a bunch of serious outdoor guys who design backpacks for photographers who actually ski, climb, and pedal with their DSLR camera gear on their backs. This was their second PMA tradeshow and I think they’re gonna blow up this year. Camera dealers and photographers are looking for something different and Clik Elite’s stuff not only looks different, it’s designed different – especially for pro photographers who shoot in the backcountry. In this video, marketing manager Gheen Hillman shows off their Elite Pro and Escape camera packs.
I haven’t tried the Elite Pro or Escape packs, but I’m very interested in the Escape. It looks perfect for long, technical mountain bike photo rides where I need to carry my DSLR, lenses and flashes along with extra gear, water, food, etc. I rode all last season with the Clik Elite Medium Nature pack (Clik Elite Medium Nature Review), which is bigger and heavier and not quite as hydration-friendly. Maybe this next bike season the Escape will become my main camera pack.
