The Zoom Power of a Digital SLR in a Compact Camera
The PowerShot SX10 IS digital camera was announced today as part of the expansion of the popular ultra-zoom SX-Series from Canon. The SX10 IS has ultra-zoom capabilities, a wide-angle (28 mm – 560 mm) 20x optical zoom lens, Canon’s new DIGIC 4 image processor, Optical Image Stabilizer, 2.5-inch vari-angle LCD screen, Face Detection Technology, MovieSnap mode, and a 10.0-megapixel resolution.
This compact camera allows photographers to capture long-range shots and zoom in close enough to capture facial expressions from far away. The SX10 IS also features a SLR-style mode dial that makes accessing 24 shooting modes, ranging from fully automatic to manual, easy.
The Canon PowerShot SX10 IS will be available in late October for $399.99.
