The first of Canon’s 12-color imagePROGRAF printers, the iPF5000 provides one of the industry’s largest color gamuts with Canon’s 12-color inkset featuring Lucia pigmented inks. The professional grade printer is engineered for speed and advanced image quality using Canon’s L-COA controller and dual print heads for fast, accurate prints. Canon’s new iPF6100 large format printer is capable of 24-inch wide and 17-inch wide prints respectively and represents the next generation of Canon large format technology. The iPF6100 printer is equipped with a 12-color pigment inkset, using new formulations and enhanced ink drop control for improved dot patterns and reduced dot graininess over previous generation printers. The new ink formulations also reduce bronzing and provide better ink adhesion for improved scratch resistance.

This latest generation has earned a wow, with the largest range of color I have seen to date,” remarks George Kondogianis, president, George Kondogianis Consulting, LLC. “The free online profiles allow for continuous tone printing on fine art paper better than I have ever seen in the past. Certifying to SNAP, GRACOL and SWOP proofing was a breeze with the huge gamut of the iPF5000.”
Along with internal color experts, Canon worked with George Kondogianis to develop additional profiles to ensure customers have the tools they need to produce outstanding color prints.
