2010 Photokina Canon News

Canon EOS 7DSV (Studio Version) DSLRToday, Canon announced the EOS 7DSV (Studio Version) DSLR. It is perfect for professional school and event photographers with four levels of “locking” camera controls for studio environments, ensuring reliability and efficient workflow for whomever is using the camera. The new “locking” feature allows administrators to disable unwanted features and settings and custom functionality management is also achieved through each “lock” level by unlocking individual features according to operator-specific needs. This complete level of control is guarded by a daily password, preventing anyone with a different vision from changing the camera settings and disrupting the overall project and workflow. The EOS 7D Studio Version also features the Canon Barcode Solution. It links customer data directly with the image file so that it can be maintained throughout the entire workflow process, making it ideal for school photographers, forensic and medical photo workflows.

The Canon EOS 7DSV (Studio Version) Barcode Kit (EOS 7DSV and WFT-E5A with firmware change) will be available for $2,599. The Canon EOS 7DSV (Studio Version) Body Only will be available for $1,829. The Canon EOS 7DSV will be available by special order through select Canon authorized dealers.
