ANYCASE iPhone Tripod Adapter

ANYCASE iPhone Tripod AdapterBike industry buddy and PR magnate Steve Boehmke has a photo-related Kickstarter project that I had to share. The ANYCASE Adapter is a CNC-machined aluminum tripod adapter for the iPhone and most other Smart Phones. Steve came up with the idea after having to duct tape his iPhone to a tripod to shoot a video of his daughter’s dance recital. Then he reached out to his bicycle manufacturing contacts in Southern California to get it made. The ANYCASE Adapter design is simple, compact and durable – after all, Steve comes from the mountain bike industry where things have to be tough or they get destroyed. One of the cool things about the ANYCASE is the simple single nylon screw design should work with almost any Smart Phone – including future phones. It will also work with most Smart Phone cases.

For those of you who don’t know how Kickstarter works, it’s a Web-based “crowd-funding” system where entrepreneurs and inventors can seek startup cash for projects. When the project reaches its financial goal and the campaign ends, the product ships. With ANYCASE, if you pledge $25 now, you’ll get a black anodized adapter in August, when they start shipping. After the campaign is over (July 6th, 2012) the price will go up to $29 so pledging now saves you a few bucks, plus you help get the project up and running. If you’re feeling generous and really like Steve and / or his idea, a pledge of $100 will get you a limited “Founders Edition” gold-anodized ANYCASE Adapter in early July, when the campaign ends.
