Adobe has released major updates across the entire Photoshop product line. Included in this upgrade to the x.3 version is Adobe Photoshop CS5, Lightroom 3, Camera RAW, DNG converter, and more.
Continuing a commitment to cross product functionality, Adobe Systems, Inc. has updated the Photoshop product line with both new RAW conversion capability for new camera models and addressed ongoing performance issues. Updates/plug-ins for Photoshop Elements programs are included among the releases. Adobe lists a new TWAIN plug-in to address multiple documents concerns and crash problems that existed previously.
The new updates for Windows and Macintosh users are available starting today December 7, 2010 for the following Adobe Photoshop products at the link following the list:

Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premier users looking for the new plug-ins need to visit the Camera RAW 6.3 update page and scroll down about one-third of the page to find access to those files
New Camera RAW Support
Added supported camera models is always an eagerly awaited part of these releases. During the Holidays with new owners or in anticipation of increased number of users who are stepping up their use of RAW functionality, this is a prime time for Adobe to update their software.

Thanks for posting this, drg. It’s very timely, too – for me, anyway. Last night I posted on the Nikon forum about the problems I was having batch processing 100 D7000 NEF RAW files with the provided Nikon ViewNX 2 software. Now I don’t have to bother with the Nikon software. Yayyy!
