I am planning to and take a closer look at the Ligthroom beta, tomorrow. If anyone has already downloaded it, please share your impressions with us. I’d like to know what people think of the UI and the new features.
It’s already 1:30am and I’m still at this new software. The ADOBE TV videos are worth the time to get quick ideas about what needs to be explored in this BETA.
Initially I am very interested in looking tomorrow (and having several others look) at prints from the 50 photos I’m playing with this evening. ACR has been altered/modified/updated to improve rendering. So far it looks good in most cases on the screen.
The radically changed input interface will require ‘play time’ to see if it all works well together. There is now a browser type interface, but it is very LR in implementation. Far better control over what to import and how.
More tomorrow, or later today.
