Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.2 and Camera RAW 6.2 Updates

Adobe News PhotographyREVIEW.com News Software

adobelogo_smAdobe has released synchronized updates for Lightroom and ACR following  Release Candidate testing.  These updates are available for download from the Adobe Systems web site. These “dot” 2 versions of the Adobe workflow and RAW conversion software add several cameras, lenses, and minor to major bug fixes in response to user feedback.

Following the June release of Lightroom 3 and the earlier release of Adobe Photoshop CS 5 these updates keep both programs compatible with the new data for camera files and lens inclusions for corrections and profiling. The ‘new’ versions of these programs will continue to have future releases with the number after the ‘dot’ being the same for consistency. Trial versions of Lightroom 3.2 are available that are fully functional.

New lens profiles included range from Canon and Nikon models to those for Pentax, Samsung, Sony, and even a Schneider lens for Phase One! Zeiss lens profiles for several models for both Canon and Nikon are included. Third party lens units from Sigma had additional model profiles added to the database.

Cameras models added to the Adobe RAW file support include offerings from  Casio, Leica, Panasonic, Pentax (Medium Format 645D!), Samsung and Sony. The NEX-3 and NEX-5 cameras standout as inclusions along with the DNG format supporting Casio EXILIM EX-FH100.

See the Adobe Labs link below for full list of added Cameras and Lens models plus detailed information about ‘bugs’ that have been addressed.
