Strength:

Fantastic lens, extremely clear with almost no distortion

Weakness:

Some viginetting when when some filters are used

This is a very rewarding lens to use. I find the 20mm to be just right considering most of the zooms come down to the 28mm range now. Lots of fun. Highly recommended

Strength:

Well made. Dependable. Nikon quality.

Weakness:

Mine is ever so slightly soft. Not quite as sharp as some of my other Nikons.

Great well built lens with minimal distortion. Not quite as sharp as my Nikon 28/2.8D. A bit pricey.

Strength:

Sharp, super-wide, lightweight, fast 2.8, wonderfull.

Weakness:

None.
Must use thin polarizers to avoid vignetting.

A great super-wide angle. No complaints. The 24mm might be a better choice only to save a couple of hundred bucks. Make sure you want a lens that's THIS wide before you buy. A 24mm may suffice.

Strength:

20mm is a great focal length used properly, especially for the near-far shots Nikon's lenses do so well. Lens is quite sharp and sturdy.

Weakness:

Sometimes I wonder if it should be sharper. Maybe this is just my lens.

If you are a serious wideangle user, you probably already have one and know how good a lens this is. More casual shooters may prefer the 24, which is easier to use, very high quality, and still wide enough to look dramatic.

Strength:

Ultra-wide angle with no distortion nor vignetting. Get the new perspective more than 24. and SUPER SHARP! and CRC

Weakness:

slight vignetting if you put filter on. It's gone if you remove it off or use better quality filter.

This is a SUPER SHARP lens. It focuses very fast. Cute lens. I was reluctant to get it or the 24/2.8D at first but I don't regret to opt for it. Be aware your tripod legs.. it's too wide than you can imagine.

Strength:

Almost no distortion visible, very and I mean very sharp, it rivals my 80-200 f2.8 ED and 85f1.8 regarding sharpness.

Weakness:

none, very slight vigneting when using circular polarizers.

Great lens, great for arquitectural photography and landscapes, but I personaly do portraits with it and it is great (there is some distortion of course) but great anyway!

Customer Service

Poor in Mexico city. Never used with these lens though.

Strength:

Very compact with excellent results. Terrific landscape shots when used with
Nikon circular polarizer.

Weakness:

Looks not so sturdy as made from plastic components instead of metal.

Produce excellent results for landscape shots. Can be used in general photography but one has to be cautious to avoid distortion unless intended.
