Highly popular wide-angle lens featuring a large aperture. Good for casual snapshots as well as perspective shots. Floating rear focusing system corrects astigmatism and gives high contrast and sharp delineation.

Strength:

very sharp lens, fairly lightweight, and extremely durable--It's been through hell and back

Weakness:

usm would be nice, that's about it though. It still focuses fast

surely one of the best lenses I've ever used. A definite must have lens

Customer Service

Strength:

Very sharp & contrasty!, low distortion, close focus, internal focus, floating element, compact & light weight, 58mm filter

Weakness:

USM would be nice.

I really like this focal length (24mm). At first, I was thinking about 24-85USM, but I picked this prime because I will be using at 24mm most of the time - so, why buy the best? Also, USM is not quite important for a wide-angle lens.
