I love how the film records blues, yellows, and reds. Greens are also excellent. Pastels are excellent too. I have been very pleased with the prints made out of this slide. It's very sharp.
Weakness:
It's a bit expensive. It has a tendency to appear overexpose a little. The color still can not beat Velvia in term of saturation. However, as a 100 ISO slide film, E100VS has some significant benefits. Similar Products Used: Fuji Velvia, Kodak E100SW |

Fine grain
Weakness:
Colors are awfull I do not like this film one bit. I find the colors to be too saturated and unrealistic for my tastes. Skin colors are off especially in the shade. There are very few pratical purposes to use this film. Comapred to Velvia this film really is terrible. At least velvia's saturated colors are more realisitc. EVS brings a new meaning to "Disneyland" colors. Though somepeople do like becuase of the increase speed for Velvia. They have never tried pushing Velia one stop. I am more of a people photographer thus my dislike of this film. Velvia is no better on skin colors, but that's why there is E100s. Great bold and vivid colors perfect for landscapes and other subjects.
Weakness:
Expensive This is my first roll of slide film I've ever taken and I have to say my experience couldn't have been better. The colors popped and were crazy and more than captured the feeling of the Hawaiian tropics. Excellent detail but expensive. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Good saturation,good tonal balance.
Weakness:
Few. Not a bad film, but I prefer Velvia. Used with an enhancer once...bad mistake. All the reds looked as though they were painted with nail polish. I wish Kodak would make this in 24 exp for 35mm. A little pricey. Customer Service No. Similar Products Used: Provia,Velvia |

Strength:
The best all around color I've seen in a 100 film. Reds scream off the slide to grab attention
Weakness:
Dark shades run to black too quickly; be careful with fill flash Saturation of this film gives Velvia a run for its money and comes in a close second. One of my favorite films. Similar Products Used: Kodak 100SW, E200; Velvia, Provia 100F |

Strength:
This is one of the sharpest 100 film on the market. I want to emphasize one thing for a comparison. Although E100VS is not as fine-grained as Provia 100F, but I observed that E100VS is somehow sharper. I have a lot of prints made from these 2 slide films, and I constantly come up with such observation in term of sharpness. The significant strength of thie E100VS is its ability to accurately record primary colors and details. The saturation is just enough to prevent excessive blocking on many monochromatic-colored objects. The prints made from it are constantly excellent with great sharpness. Grains are very tight and smooth. At 100 speed, it has some significant benefits.
Weakness:
I don't see any so far. Only if Kodak could make the grain smoother and put a technology to handle fluorescent light, I'll be completely satisfied with this film This film will always be in my bag along with Velvia. Although this film is designed to amplify colors to some extent, I feel that E100VS records those colors accurately without sacrificing details and sharpness. This film along with its E100 family members are probably finest tools in photography today. Customer Service Never tried to contact Kodak. Similar Products Used: Fuji Provia 100F |

This film is very challenging and will be a disapointment to many with limited experience or fine arts talent There will be brilliant fine art photography done with this film. Similar Products Used: Many will compare E100VS to Velvia but they are not really the same |

Strength:
Great Color saturation, makes up for a lot of the color detail I lose from lense light fall-off
Weakness:
Is not rated correctly, shot an entire roll, and it is significantly underexposed, maybe a +1/3 stop to compensate. Warm, everything you shoot is warm, or purple-ey More or less like Provia 100F rather than Velvia, It is saturated but not as fine as Provia, though a little more saturated. As I mentioned before the entire roll, all in different lighting were underexposed. Customer Service I wrote them a question a few months ago... still waiting. Strength:
Vivid Saturation like the box says. Great for outdoors.
Weakness:
Not a real people-oriented film, especially using a flash. The red end of the spectrum really comes alive. I used some at a pumpkin farm and the pumpkins actually looked 3 dimensional. Greens were not as vibrant as well as skin tones, but not shabby either. The film worked really well under flash conditions except for people, they all washed out. Overall a great film for outdoors. Customer Service Kodak has a great web-site but they charge an arm and a leg for shipping. Similar Products Used: Velvia, Elite Chrome |
