Hey, this is a REAL man's camera". In actual use, the body itself and all of its controls feel solid like no other camera on the market today. These were built to last. It has all the traditional controls, and they are all in the expected locations. It's a very comfortable camera to use. Used with the non- Santa Ana Mobile Mechanic Weakness:

Strength:
Virtually grainless, sharp, realistic.
Weakness:
Slightly more expensive, our excellent camera shop says it's harder to develop, they have to do a test run of the film batch to keep it from "going red." Although I have been a Fuji lover for years, I have to yield to Kodak's new 100SW. My son and I go on international shoots every August, and this time we compared Fuji Provia 100, Sensia 100 with this new Kodak 100SW. The SW is virtually grainless, a full step about the provia. It is also super sharp, realistic colors to just slightly saturated, very slightly warm. Does everything well. It is unbeatable. We didn't refrigerate it on the trip, it got warm and cold several times in various Venezuelan climates. Stunning! I mean breathtaking reproduction. Similar Products Used: All the slide films. |

None If you have not tried this film, I would highly recommend you give it a shot. I had been using Kodachrome 64 for some time. Seeing how Kodak seems to be phasing it out, I decided to try out the new family of films. When I got it back from the lab, I was very impressed. I was amazed how fine the grain was. The grain seemed finer than the Kodachrome 64. I have shot both the E100S and E100SW. I prefer the “SW” because of the slight warming affect it has. The E100SW is the only film I use for glamour shots. Similar Products Used: Kodachrome 64 Velvia 50 |

Strength:
Very sharp. Very saturated with nice warm balance. Very good skin tones. Versatile.
Weakness:
Price. There''s no consumer version, so it makes me look at Provia F which is the winner now. This is my favourite kodak slide. It''s very sharp and saturated for landscapes and it''s fantastic for skin tones too. It´s a perfect general purpose film. Customer Service :-T Similar Products Used: Fuji Provia F |

Strength:
- Outstanding color rendition - Excellent Chrome and grey tonals - Outstanding reds - Fine grain - Support Push process very well (when you need without lost).
Weakness:
- Price (in Canada) - A very little bit to dark in blacks areas. I use this film since he''s available (1996). To resume is qualities: The E100SW got all good points of any Ekatchrome and Kodachrome without aving their own respective flaws. Similar Products Used: E100S E200 |

Ektachrome E100SW
Strength:
Great for higher altitudes. I have had incredible shots of adobe and blue skys. It really improves the colors of scenes in bluish light. Great for people shots as well.
Weakness:
Try underexposing a half a stop for increased saturation. It responds very well to it.

Ektachrome E100SW
Strength:
I love a warm scene. This film is the one for me for quiet sometime. Its grains are smooth. The contract is very good. I pushed the film to 200 with excellent results. On the print, the results are very good. I've been experimenting with its new sister, E100VS. Skin tone is excellent. Pastels are great.
Weakness:
Depending on the subject. If you want something punchy, try the new E100VS. If you are taking pictures of people...stay with this film. It has been one of my favorite for quiet sometime. Its grains are very smooth. The color is saturated but not excessive. It's been a great film for potrait. It has a good pushability (up to ISO 200). I will still use this film for potrait, but for landscape...try its sister, E100VS. Similar Products Used: E100VS, Provia 100 F, Velvia (rated 40) |
