Fujicolor Reala 100
Strength:
Sharp, colorful, well saturated, very smooth in it's color rendering
Weakness:
Nothing I think this is the best 100 speed print film made. It is pricy compared to Super HG Fuji 100, but about the same as Fuji Superia 100. When I use 100 speed film, this is it. Very accurate color rendition, and not overly bright. Smooth is the word to describe it as far as color rendering is concerned. I prefer Portra 160NC for people pictures, but landscape photographers (who want to make big enlargements) will be very happy with Reala. It helps to have a prime lens on the camera to fully exploit this film's superb qualities. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Everything |

Strength:
Fine grain. I shot a building in a town from the hillside, the window frames are clearly reproduced from 4x5 to 12x10. Colour saturation is good. I shot flowers of different colours and got lovely results. For scenic shoots, blue and green are truthfully reproduced.
Weakness:
None I agree that it should be developed by a decent lab. The price worths its superb quality. If you are a serious amauteur photographer (I am not a professional to compare performance of different films), don't mind paying extra money for Reala. Excellent skin tone renditions.
Weakness:
None This is an excellent film for portrait photography. It provides great skin tones and is a very good film for overall use. It is recommended for all levels of photographers. It must be pointed out that film is a matter of personal choice. Use what you have had good results with. Customer Service Excellent Similar Products Used: For portraits, Kodak Portra 160 VC |

Strength:
I definitely agree that this film renders very realistic colors. I use this films for portraits, mainly, and some landscapes. The film renders the skin tone very2 good. For landscapes, the colors on the prints are very close to my vision. Blues, greens, reds, and yellows are good and not oversaturated. White is perfect. Grains are very2 fine and smooth.
Weakness:
I will say that this film is more for portrait works than for landscape. I like to see more saturated colors for lanscape. It's a little difficult to get this film here. It's been my favourite for portrait works. The film renders colors very2 close to what I imagine on the view-finder. However, I will have to say that this film is more for portrait works than landscapes. Since the introduction of its sister, Superia 100, I will no longer use Reala for landscape scenes. The Reala is a very well-designed film, no doubt about it. However, I like the saturation, especially in the green and blue spectrums, of the Superia 100 much better. Am I gonna shift totally to Superia? Nope...I will keep Reala in my bag for portrait works. One last note: Please process Reala (infact, other print films too) at a reliable lab. Strength:
Fuji Realla has the best color saturation, sharpness and it has the most versitility of any print film on the market today. I shoot this film exclusivley when I'm shooting color print film.
Weakness:
Try finding a Lab to print it correctly. This film beats all other print films on the market today. It's great for scenic, macro, Still Life and portraits. Try this film and find a Photo lab that will print it so that the colors SNAP. Do not take it to the drug store or discount center to be processed. If you are going to pay for a quality film. Get quality processing. Similar Products Used: All print film from Kodak and Fuji. Some Agfa. |

Strength:
very fine grain, amazing color accuracy, and has a great tone range
Weakness:
has nearly the same emulsion technology as the superia 100, the difference can only be told at 11x14, but superia isn't as versatile as reala this is my bread and butter film, the film is very versatile under mixed light and no other print film compares to this. It is worth the extra bucks. Similar Products Used: superia 100 7 kodak royal gold 100 |

Fuji has undoubtedly mastered the art of color in print film. I have taken numerous landscape shots with Reala that are far more appealing in print than even in real life. I'm a color-addict, so the brilliant saturation and contrast never cease to please me. Very low grain is another fantastic plus. Price is very appealing, too.
Weakness:
Not enough stores carry this film. This film is the do-all-end-all of landscape print film. I haven't tried it for portraits, but given the other reviews here, I will make haste in trying it out. Similar Products Used: Fuji Superia 100, 800 |

Deep and rich color, Captures lots of light
Weakness:
None I have found The quality of color reproduction amazed me in side by side testing with same camera and lighting. Much richer and deeper color. Tested against Kodak Gold 100 and Fuji Superia 100. The Reala 100 won hands down. Customer Service Helpfull when needed. Similar Products Used: All kodak and Fuji Superia 100 |

Strength:
Extremely fine grain. Good colors.
Weakness:
Expensive This is the only color negative film that compares to chrome positives in color rendition and sharpness. Too bad it's way too expensive to be a regular-use film (at least to me). Please, take it to a Fuji Lab (Fuji's professional labs, if you can) otherwise you're gonna get poor prints, unless the Kodak lab has the appropriate channel set on their Noritsus.
