Good entry-level camera. Good price, reliable, good exposure most of the time. Easy to use with availability of top-notch nikon lenses.
Weakness:
Obviously does not have the features of more expensive cameras such as mirror lock up, depth of field. It's a little loud and slow, especially when compared to the N70, which doesn't cost much more. Good value and rugged. Seriously consider N70, however, before purchasing this camera. Customer Service Haven't had this serviced, but nikon has provided excellent service on other items. This is my day to day camera. It has not given me a single problem in 4 years, and the metering and range of lenses is superb.
Weakness:
The AF is rather slow, and all motoroized functions are pretty loud. An excellent entry to advanced amateur photography. It's very easy and intuitive to use, and makes complete control readily accessible. Customer Service unknown Similar Products Used: Pentax, Canon |

Compact, nice hand grip, easy to load, easy to switch off the auto focus, built in flash with a quick recycle, battery life appears to be great, my wife and son used it with no problems,
Weakness:
memorizing all the button combonations for manual controls I really enjoy taking pictures with this camera. The hand grip and balance of the camera is real nice. I bought my first 35mm camera, Honeywell Pentax in '70. Got so used to manual operations that the auto functions are frustrating at times. Customer Service Not needed yet. Owned over 2+ years Similar Products Used: Used to own old Pentax w/screw mounts. |

This is one of the toughest cameras there. It's well thought out and easy to use.
Weakness:
Its auto focus is slow and it is loud. I have heard storys about this camera being droped and thrown and each time it got dinged our scratched but it kept working. I have had mine for 4 years and it work great. Plus one bonus is its price its dirt cheap. Customer Service Don't know, I have never had a problem with Nikon cameras. This camera is a lot more rugged then it's price suggests. I really like the feel of this camera. It's controls, weight and shape are very nice.
Weakness:
It is rather loud and slow I really love this camera. It is soon to become a backup to the F100 but I would never part with it. Buy it if you are a beginner or intermediate and need a tough and competent camera. I recommend it over the N60 or N70. Similar Products Used: None |

Great rugged camera. Lots of features for the price. Have been using it for 3 years and has been EVERYWHERE. Next jump is to the F5 and the 6006 will take the backup. It has been dropped, kicked, rained on, snowed on, and left on for days and it still performes like the day I got it.
Weakness:
Wish the shutter was quieter and the shutter is slow at 3 fps however it has had no problems at sporting event, concerts, and other fast paced assignments. Bottom line is this is a great starter camera. Fast enough for football, basketball, baseball....etc And all the other sports with the word ball in it. Wish the shutter was as quiet as the F5 or even the N90s however that little bugger has never let me down. I will die with that in my hand. Customer Service Never had to use them but I am sure they are just peachy. Similar Products Used: N90s, FM2, F3, 8008 |
