Strength:

The greatest feature of the T90 is its metering capabilities. When originally released, this body stood high above the competition. Today, even with all the advances made by camera developers, the T90 far exceeds their capabilities in the area of metering.

Couple this with a "new" ergonomic design, built-in motor drive, easy to use controls, and the availability of the Canon FD line of lenses and this camera is truly a professional's choice.

Weakness:

With so many functions and features, this camera might be intimidating to new users.

The T90 is without question the finest camera I have ever used. Truly without equal in the manual focus world, the T90 offers a solid yet modern build quality not found on the current generation of auto focus cameras. The exception to this might be the Canon EOS-1v but the T90 can be had for a fraction of its cost.

Customer Service

Non existent from Canon.

I've used so many camera bodies and "systems" that I forget them all. But they have included Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Mamiya, Yashica and Konica (manual focus). My experiences with auto focus cameras are limited to the Canon and Pentax line. I am not a fan of auto focus as I almost always have to "touch up" the focus manually. I do use an EOS-RT for fast motorsports however.

Strength:

Versatility, ease of use, metering.

Weakness:

Unavailability of dedicated flash.
Motor rewind is noisy.

This is a great camera, able to use all prior Canon FD lenses. A real shame that Canon no longer supports manual cameras like the A-1, AE-1 and T90.

Customer Service

Strength:

This camera is definitely a solid, work horse camera. I started using it as a newspaper photographer in college and it has followed me around ever since. I still don't use anything but it or my AE1. The FD lenses are beyond great, unless you're obsessed with AF, which takes little talent. I don't think it's worth it to switch over to a whole new line considering how much cameras cost and how this one performs.

Weakness:

Very few with the camera itself. It is relatively heavy, though, especially if you're carrying a bunch of FD lenses with you, rather than one or two zooms. My only other complaint is with Canon, which would have been wise to make its lenses fully compatible among all series, as Nikon did.

This camera is great. Fast enough for fast sports (e.g., basketball and soccer), and easy to use for just about anything else you can dream of. If you get one, keep it for life.

Strength:

The T90 gives me incredibly consistent exposure, rarely a bad picture, at least from an exposure standpoint. Flash photography with the 300TL beats my Elan IIe and 380EX everytime.

Weakness:

No problems, definitely my favorite camera of the three bodies that I own.

I feel this is one of the best cameras ever made. When I want to be sure of getting the shot that I want I turn to the T90, 300TL (if flash is needed) and one of my trusty FD lenses.

Strength:

A camera for the pro! Acurate and fast. Ease of use.
No autofocus.
Probably one of the ten best cameras ever made!

Weakness:

None. The T-90 is even able to work under extreme weather conditions!
Nowadays, the T-90 is beaten by beasts like Nikon F-100 or Canon EOS-3 (yeah, of course there are more than 10 years difference in the technologies!)

Now, you can get it 2nd hand.
This camera is the one to have if you are allergic to AF.
Excellent in macro especially with its dedicated flash 300TL (the new flashes from Canon also fit the T-90).

Strength:

Rugged, Solid yet precise. Great program modes. Multi-spot metering produces great exposures for difficult lighting situations. Combined with a 300TL flash and this camera is ideal for people and action shots.

Weakness:

Parts are getting hard to find

If you like manual focus cameras, then this is the premier camera body for you. Goes well with Canon's top-notch lenses.

Customer Service

Only available thru local repair centers. Canon does not support this camera any longer.

Strength:

Ergonomical design. All possible user modes. Build quality. Great availablity of accessories (used).

Weakness:

No autofocus. that's it.

Though you have to buy this camera used, there are still one or two retailers in New York who sell this camera new but at an inflated price of around 1000. U.S. This is a tremendous camera for both advanced amateurs and pros. Its current version would be the Canon A2.
Canon has discontinued its non-autofocus cameras but all accessories and lenses are readily and cheaply available on the used market. Definitely a best buy even after 15 years since its introduction.

Customer Service

Great.
