Strength:

Good daypack for your photo equipement. I can take nearly all the neccessary equipement in this minitrekker

Weakness:

Quite a high price. There only little room left for other things (food and clothing).
If not closed properly this might fall out ,luckily never happened to me :-)

A good piece of equipement. If you need to take a lot of equipment without the size and weight of a photo trekker AW it's very good.
If you have less things (camera's and lenses) to carry, take the Rover series.

Strength:

Roomy - large enough to fit my camera, lenses, cokin filters, meter, film, and accessories

Comfortable - even for extended periods of time

Weakness:

Waist belt sits a bit too high.

I would recommend this product to anyone in need of quality photo backpack for a reasonable price.

Strength:

Great weight distribution. Many handy pockets for accessories.

Weakness:

Price.

This is a really good backpack for the photographer who isn't going to bring an entire lens collection. Even with a full backpack the weight is distributed evenly and is very comfortable to wear. It will also fit a very small amount of clothes or food in the front compartment. My favorite feature is the tripod holder which folds up when not in use. If you are looking for a medium sized back pack then this is the one!

Strength:

Swallows a lot of gear
Protects very well
Great Balance on my back
comfortable to wear all day

Weakness:

If you use a tripod (why wouldn't you to begin with), the carrying sling and straps get in the way to access your gear quickly. and the elastic straps to it needs to be beefed up.

It Holds A LOT of Gear.
1 Medium SLR, 100-300 zoom, 20-35 zoom, 50mm, 28-80, 400 5.6, A speedlight, a TC and an Extension tube set, and that is in the main compartment. It also has pockets for filters, pens, a small notepad and accessories. It holds it all.
I usually haul around my gear all day over uneven terrain, and this bag is comfortable and stable.

If you shoot in difficult, out-of-the-way locations, and you need all of your gear with you, This bag is it!

Strength:

Very configurable
Holds lots of gear
Nicely padded and comfortable
Excellent weight distribution

Weakness:

Pricey, but less than or equal to everything else in its class

I changed my mind three times before deciding to purchase the Lowepro becuase I was ordering over the phone and had to figure out what the bag was like rom cryptic descriptions or non-scalable pictures. I wanted a bag that would a lot of gear, but that wasn't obnoxiously large. I am quite pleased with my decision to get this one, as it is only slightly larger than a normal backpack, but holds almost everything I have or need to shoot just about anywhere. I haven't used it with a tripod because I have another bag for that, but it is otherwise without a noticable flaw. The only thing I had difficulty with was trying to figure out how to arrange the inside in order to fit my gear. After some experimenting I was able to conveniently store the following equipment:
MAIN COMPARTMENT:
(2) SLR bodies (one with lense attached)
(3) Large-diameter zoom lenses with hoods
(1) Full-sized bounce flash unit
(1) Cokin P-Filter holder
Lots of film, extra batteries, manuals, and straps

OUTSIDE POCKETS:
(2) Medium-sized sleeves of filters
(1) Flash diffuser assembly
Extra room for just about anything to include bottles
of water and the like

Strength:

Strong
Fair capacity
Fairly cheap
Fits in aircraft luggage lockers (yes, really fits, not just "airline approved")

Weakness:

Not waterproof
Could do with more room for non-photo items

I've used mine for about 7 years, and it's been all round the world, up mountains, in rainforest, desert etc.
The only problem I've had with it is that the colour has faded - the top is now light gray, the bottom is still black. This will hold 2 SLR bodies, one with a 70-200 f2.8, 4 other lenses and a flashgun (just about !) in the main compartment, with film and batteries in the outside pockets. It does struggle to cope with a waterproof jacket, water and food as well, and the tripod loops on my (ancient) version aren't any good - I don't want the tripod dangling around. All in all, a great, but not quite perfect, bag.

Strength:

Excellent Durability, Perfect size for my amount of gear, very versatile. Fits fairly large lense attached to camera

Weakness:

Expense

One of the smartest purchases I've made (next to buying Canon). One of the few bags that can fit a pro camera with booster and lens attached. A rugged, versatile bag with plenty of room and otions to satify most amateurs and many pros.

Strength:

- Comfortable
- Nice design
- I am 5 feet 7 inch tall and it just fit
- Capable to pack a lot of equipment inside and outside

Weakness:

- a bit heavy

This bag is just great.
The 1st time I went hiking with this bag, I pack in my bag my camera, lens, tripod, accessories, and 1.75L of water. Both of my hands were free and I can balance well. I was so comfortable that I didn't feel like walking with more than 4kg of load. I walked fast and easy. But nightmare came that night becoz during the hike, I was not aware of the loading, but my shoulders were actually exhausted and tired. When I had to slept the pain just came.
Buy this bag! And be sure to keep youself fit to enjoy shooting.

Strength:

Fits everything I need to carry.
Easily configurable to any set of gear.
Tough and attractive.
Easy to carry.
Tripod holder cleverly packs away when not in use.

Weakness:

If you're tall (I'm 6'3) it sits a little high - the "waist" strap gets your stomach.
Straps can't be tucked out of the way.

I love this bag... it holds all the gear I normally carry - 3 SLR bodies (w/motorwinds attached if needed - it's deep enough!), 24mm, 2 x 50mm, 70-210mm zoom, teleconverter, tons of filters, tons of film (typically 35-40 rolls for me, although there's room for lots more) - all in the main compartment!
The front pocket is bigger than it looks - plenty of room for a sweater and a drink etc, or a couple of good books. Slots for a notebook and a couple of pens. I have a torch clipped to the keyring inside the pocket. Plenty of room for some cleaning stuff, too. Added to this it'll hold my tripod if it needs to.
Of course, it's not perfect, and it won't hold everything... I have 2 aluminium cases for the stuff I almost never take out (flash units, reflectors, monopod, extension tubes, 500mm mirror lens, compact tripod, etc).
Overall though, it's the ideal case for me, and I never carry anything else... I tend to use the Mini Trekker as an ordinary bag too, because I never know when I might need a camera (or 3!). It's comfortable and spacious enough. I can't see why I'll ever need another bag... and I can't give it any more praise than that!

Strength:

Durable, Reasonabley Subtle, Swallows Everything, Quality

Weakness:

Waist Strap a little high, only just copes with two Nikon bodies and an 80-200 f2.8 and 300 f4.5 (in terms of width, one hard hit and it could be expensive)

A quality item worth the £90 ($130?), Great for walking, holds everything and is comfortable, the Clever Tripod holder and the new sternum strap really help. Great for most forms of photography, it wouldn't cope with a large medium format kit, but for 35mm it's a good buy
