WPPI Announces First-Ever Photographers Ignite Presentations Hosted by Kevin Kubota
Closing program at annual WPPI Convention and Trade Show takes place
Thursday, March 11, 2010

WPPICulver City, CA (February 2, 2010) - Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) is pleased to announce that the first-ever Photographers Ignite presentations will take place on Thursday, March 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV.

Ignite Presentations offer an exciting new form of presenting educational, motivational or downright funny topics to an audience. During Ignite Presentations, a speaker shares ideas by showing exactly 20 slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds-so each presentation lasts five minutes. Presentations are concise, creative and educational.

Hosted by professional photographer Kevin Kubota, the premiere of Photographers Ignite at WPPI 2010 will feature 15-20 experienced and upcoming photographers sharing their cool techniques, trends, ideas and inspirations as they relate to photography as a profession in this fast-paced and exciting two-hour session.

“Featuring the first Photographers Ignite session as the closing program to WPPI 2010 is the perfect ending to our 30th Anniversary celebration,” said George Varanakis, WPPI’s Group Publisher and Executive Vice President. “WPPI is always looking for new and exciting programs that offer fresh ideas and new concepts to our convention and trade show attendees. Photographers Ignite is rapid learning at its best. It’s an event not to be missed.”

“I can’t wait to get the first Photographers Ignite session off the ground at WPPI,” said Kevin Kubota, Idea Man of Kubota Image Tools. “This whole concept is about digging deep, sharing a story, teaching a lesson, pulling at heart strings, changing a mind, raising eyebrows, or just making people laugh. We are so pleased that WPPI agreed to host this first-ever photography event of its kind. And I’m happy to say that this session is open for viewing to all WPPI attendees. It’s sure to be a good time had by all and hopefully the first of many more to come.”

All WPPI 2010 classes, events and the trade show will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV, from March 4-11, 2010. WPPI is the largest annual expo and conference in the United States for professional photographers. Each year more than 11,000 professional photographers gather in Las Vegas, NV, to learn from the best and see the latest and greatest products from the hundreds of exhibitors that participate in the trade show.

Registration for WPPI 2010 is available via its newly redesigned convention and trade show website: http://www.wppionline.com/storage/lasvegas/home.html, which also includes highlights from the 2009 convention.
