Today, at a special invite-only press event in New York City, Leica introduced a follow-up to their M8 digital rangefinder camera. The brand new Leica M9 sports an 18-megapixel full frame CCD sensor designed by Kodak. Our man, photographer Bob Scott, a Leica M8 owner, was at the introduction and we also have a follow-up article with his photos and thoughts on the new M9.

What will be the consumer price.
Quite expensive: 4,850 GBP in the UK, that should be well above 5K € / US-$
The price wasn’t included in any of the press materials. The rumor is that it will be about $6,900 US.
good progress..autofocus to the back like in contax Ax then we are in business:)
Once this is achieved then there is no need for autofocus- just a good deal with former Contax-Kyocera.
Then we have full line of procucts from M6-M10?:)
