Eight New Canon Vixia High Definition Flash Memory Camcorders

Today, Canon announced eight new Vixia High Definition flash memory camcorders, the Vixia HF G10, Vixia HF S30, Vixia HF M41, Vixia HF M40, Vixia HF M400, Vixia HF R21, Vixia HF R20 and the Vixia HF R200. The flagship Vixia HF G10 features Full HD 1920 x 1080 video recording, a 10x HD Video lens (35mm equivalent of 30.4mm-304mm), a HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor, a 3.5-inch touch screen LCD, 32GB of internal flash memory and dual SDXC-compatible card slots, manual controls with color temperature adjustment , color bars with test tone, shutter speed and aperture, a Custom Key and Dial, Face-Only AF, Cinema-Look Filters, Tele-Macro, Touch & Track technology, Smart Auto, Relay Recording, Powered IS, HD-to-SD Downconversion, Story Creator, Touch Decoration, built-in Remote Control Terminal, and a color viewfinder for shooting in bright situations. The Canon Vixia HF G10 camcorder will be available March 2011 for $1,499.99.

The Vixia HF S30 features Full HD 1920 x 1080 video recording, a 10x HD Video lens, a 1/2.6-inch, 8.59-megapixel Full HD CMOS image sensor, 32GB of internal memory, two SDXC-compatible card slots, a 3.5-inch LCD touch screen, Touch & Track technology, Custom Key and Dial, Remote Control Terminal, Smart Auto, Relay Recording, Powered IS, HD-to-SD Downconversion, Advanced Video Snapshot, color bars and selectable Zebra patterns, and a color viewfinder for shooting in bright situations. The Canon Vixia HF S30 will be available March 2011 for $1,099.99.

The Vixia HF M41, Vixia HF M40 and Vixia HF M400 feature Full HD 1920 x 1080 video recording, 10x HD Video Lens, a HD CMOS Pro Image Sensor, 3.0-inch LCD touch screen, Cinema-Look Filters, Story Creator, Touch Decoration, Touch & Track technology, Smart Auto, Powered IS, Tele Macro, and Advanced Video Snapshot. The Vixia HF M41 features 32GB of internal flash memory and Vixia HF M40 has 16GB of internal flash memory, whereas the Vixia HF M400 records directly to dual SDXC-compatible card slots. The Vixia HF M41 has a color viewfinder and along with the Vixia HF M40, both include HD-to-SD Downconversion. The Vixia HF M41, Vixia HF M40 and Vixia HF M400 will be available March 2011 for $799.99, $699.99 and $649.99, respectively.

The Vixia HF R21, Vixia HF R20 and the Vixia HF R200 feature Full HD 1920 x 1080 video recording, a 3.28-megapixel Canon Full HD CMOS Image Sensor, HD Video Lens with 28x Advanced Zoom, a 3.0-inch LCD touch screen, Dynamic IS, Touch Decoration, Smart Auto, Advanced Video Snapshot, and Relay Recording. HD-to-SD Downconversion is featured on the Vixia HF R21 and the Vixia HF R20. The Vixia HF R21 features 32GB of internal flash memory, while the Vixia HF R20 has 8GB of internal flash memory and the Vixia HF R200 records directly to dual SDXC-compatible memory card slots. The Vixia HF R21, Vixia HF R20 and the Vixia HF R200 will be available February 2011 for $499.99, $399.99 and $379.99, respectively.
