Don't get me wrong, a great tripod is worth the dollars as it will make or break your photos, but I did not want to "upgrade" at a high price. So I started looking arround. Every nature photographer on planet Earth uses Gitzo except for like six people and they use Manfrotto. Wedding pros like both Gitzo and Manfrotto as well. Richardson Mobile Truck Repair Weakness:

Badly made, Never works when you need it Before I bought this camera every camera that i have bought was a canon. I bought this camera to use for whitewater kayaking because it seemed like the perfect camera; it was small, and waterproof. But within the first week of using this camera it stopped working. I called canon and sent it back to them. They then said that they fixed the camera, but within a week it stopped working again. So I sent it back to canon and they repaired it once again. When I got it back it stopped working again. After several long phone calls and arguing eith supervisors, I got thewm to send me a brand new camera. Once again only two days after I recieved the camera it it stopped working. i am now waiting for them to send it back to me once more, hopefully this time they will fix it correctly. Customer Service Horrible, I hope you never but this camera or you will have to deal with them. Similar Products Used: Disposeable cameras |

Viewfinder Great camera to carry anywhere. Viewfinder does not mask for CHP modes and is very difficult to see in bright light. Lens is very good, sharp with good contrast. Waterparks, beach, Disney, only camera that is safe to carry with no worry. Customer Service Never used Similar Products Used: Pentax Efina |

ELPH SPORT
Strength:
Versatility, compact.
Weakness:
Lack of zoom. This camera is a great take anywhere camera. Being a true point and shoot camera (no focus or zoom to worry about) it is simple to use, and yet offers a large amount of options for it's size. With a red eye reduction flash, self timer, autowind, and a large viewfinder, this is the perfect waterproof camera to take camping, skiing, or for any other outdoor activity. Works well indoors. This is the best point and shoot I have owned. Similar Products Used: Olympus i Zoom 60 |

no zoom An excellent camera to take anywhere. A must have camera, next to the more expensive SLR's, for wakeboarding shots. If your taking wakeboarding pictures, or any picture that is a watersport, the in water shots are fantastic. Similar Products Used: None |

no zoom I love this camera, i bought for a trip to Paris France and it worked like a charm. Once back i was surprised by the picture quality. The camera is light and small yet it is very well constructed and since it is shoc-prof I was not afraid of droping it. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Small enough to take anywhere, waterproof, shock resistant, cool looking (lots of comments from people)
Weakness:
APS processing is Expensive, if in water, water drops evident on pictures if not wiped off while in water This thing is cool. It takes decent pictures (probably same quality as my 35mm), but it's waterproof, which is the main reason why I bought it. If they had made this in a 35mm version, I would have purchased that instead, since film/processing is much more expensive than 35mm, but you get to take some cool shots (panaramic, classic, HDTV). It's really small too, and has a rugged feel. I dropped it a couple times on some beach rock, and it didn't do any damage. I would recommend this product if you need a waterproof camera and don't mind dishing out the extra cash for APS. However, if you don't need the waterproofness and don't care for APS, you can buy a 35mm that has zoom and a bunch of other goodies for the same price or even cheaper. Disappointing picture quality, The viewfinder is terrible under water, the macro feature takes away from getting spontaneous shots and didn't notice much benefit. design looks strong but dripped water insdie when opening once and the camera completely quit working Very disappointed. Had spent a lot of time looking for the right underwater camera and had been impressed with ELPH picture quality, so bought it instead of the $100 Minolta Vectis Extreem. The underwater quality was no better than disposables, with a much worse viewfinder, too small and glares in bright light. Hoped to use it as a general beach camera as well, but the picture quality was disappointing with poor contrast. Probably good for occassional beach going, hiking, etc, but not for regular divers/snorkelers. Changing film on the beach too hard with need to keep innards and gasket dry and sand-free.
