Strength:
Controls and movements are very simple. Very stable and easy to manipulate.
Weakness:
Somewhat heavy Pricey-head alone is expensive and then the additional brackets need to be added in. I traded in mycanon 500mm/4L IS for the 600mm version and at the same time purchased the wimb head. I had used the sidekick in the past. This is an outstanding device that i highly recommend for any serious wildlife photographers. I am happy with my decision to use this head with my big lens. Customer Service I had a long conversation with the owner before making my purchase and he was extremely helpful. He was not pushy and really seemed honest with his opinions. Strength:
The absolutely best tripod head for big glass.
Weakness:
None. It's big, it's heavy, but it is absolutely fantastic. Mount a 600/f.4 and take this beauty for a spin and you'll never go back to a ball head again. Wemberly recommends using it on 400/f2.8 and bigger lenses, but I've used it with a 300/3.8 and F5 or D1H with great results. Following the action was never easy. Once you balance the setup, it moves with silk-like smoothness. Get the quick-release clamp. It'll save lots of time and give a very secure connection. Customer Service Hve never needed service, but customer support has been wonderful. Great company! Similar Products Used: Acra-Swiss B1 Kaiser Large Professional |
