Very good build quality (well it is a Gitzo!) Large quick release plate with safety release catch. good looking! Smooth Pan motion. Good load rating.

LONG handles for the front and side tilt, means that is doesn't fit into my Peli tripod bag without a handle sticking out, or removing the handles all together. Front/back tilt is a quite jerky, not very smooth, but that may just be my specimen. For this reason I'm upgrading to a geared head.

A good Gitzo 3-way head, but with some drawbacks.
