Strength:

Small footprint and low cost of toner.

Weakness:

About as fast as the bargin laser printers of its time - in other words, they were slow. Quite slow by today's standards.

I bought this back in 1995. I liked it for its small footprint.

I was surprised that when it comes to replacing the toner this printer was designed with the toner supply separate from the photosensitive drum assembly. Every other laser printer has both items in the same unit. As a result, toner replacement routine was simply adding new toner supply and dumping the waste toner. The toner refills was less than half of all the other laser printers on the market.

A shame Panasonic really didn't get the word out on this little gem. I think it would have been very popular.

We bought 3 ea. of these printers for business reconditioned from Damart
In 1996. They worked great for many years and the small foot print is very useful in a crowded office. They are fine for printing out checks and word docs. They are slowly dying out and Panasonic no longer supports them. If anyone knows a Co. that repairs them let me know.
