Strength:
The best point of this printer over my last is heft, as noted above and the Epson ink. I found that the other maker's ink will absolutely run if it get's any water on it. The ink come's with 100 sheet's of paper and cost's about the same as the other brand without paper. I also like some different papers and have found several that work in it. Only HP paper hasn't worked. Don't have the battery yet but what an asset that would be, go anywhere printer! I use it plugged into a 325 watt inverter on my dash, works great!
Weakness:
Epson's softwear really suck's!!!!!!!!!! I pulled everything except what I need to run the thing out of my computer. At home with my computer, I use my HP softwear that came with my HP375. none of these 4x6 printer's come with a case or a battery. I'd rather pay a bit more going in and get the case and a battery w/charger with the unit. This is like buying a new car and getting the windshield as an option! This is my second 4x6 printer. I got another first as the origonal Picturemate didn't have the viewer screen. I like the heft of this printer, it sit's still much better than the last printer I had. I use it on the console of my pickup.I suppose it could be a bit smallerbut then probally wouldn't sit still so well. Doesn't come with a carrying case and I can't find onr the right size. I use the box it came in. Customer Service I've had to call Epson once, the softwear would not load in my computer. They sent me out new stuff right away. Similar Products Used: HP 375. Lot's better softwear and much easier to use to fix photo's. Unit to light and bounces around when in use and ink is awful. Quality of the photo's look the same to me! |
