It allows both Windows and DOS users the capability to deal with almost every application, by providing automatic switching between PCL, Epson and IBM emulations. Optimized first page output is less than 20 seconds and Brother's own Data Compression Technology minimizes RAM consumption and gives a fast return to application. It has a powerful processor and 2MB of memory, as standard. Economy mode cuts toner consumption by 25% or 50% and the Intelligent Sleep Mode cuts power consumption to < 13W.
