At first Photobucket seems impressive. My photos were easily uploaded, unlike my experience with Picasa. Then that blue line around the photos and moving them around to fit in the right place was great.

The hard part came when I wanted to save changes, as I said.

As with so many of these PhotoAlbums, Photobucket comes with AdsInYourFace--unless you pay them $2.99 a month.

I hope I can cancel.

I could never organize my photos on a page. Yes, they could be moved, but as soon as I finished organizing, they would go back top the original chaos. The "Support Team" wasn't the least bit helpful. They wouldn't give me a direct answer to the question: am I allowed to group faces, houses, trees-- whatever--together on a page, and not have them scattered all over randomly.

The answser I was given was "We did some arranging for you by using Windows XP and Firefox.

What? Did they hear the question? I was asking how I could move the phots using the button "Organize" on the page.

I also must mention that they gave me two pages that I printed out of this vast exploration I was to do on my computer--because, of course, it must have been
my fault or my computer's fault Photobucket could never save changes I made.

I had, by the way, had my computer checked out last summer and it has a clean bill of health.

I don't know the reason I never got an answer to my simple, basic question:

does Photobucket have the capability of saving changes after you've re-organized your photographs on a page?

Did they not understand this simple question?

Were they trying to cover up?

Were they just trying to "wing it" like so many customer support people who really don't know their subject?

I don't know.

I am really hunting for a free online PhotoAlbum that's just tailored and conservative, without all these things jumping around in your field of vision. I really like GMail for that reason. There are no frills in Gmail, nothing cutesey. Just plain messages.

If only I could find a PhotoAlbum with the same basic no-nonsense tone.

photobucket is a scam site. They try to kick-ass people into signing up for their pro-account and then they would not let them go after cancellation. Be warned! Photobucket might offer services that interest you but quicker than you can think did they trick you into fees and charges. Very aggressive marketing; I hope users stay away!

sucks! I tried to cancel their services as soon as they tricked me into them. But they would not let me cancel, at least they would not send confirmation. I am very disappointed about this type of scam!

the pro service suck, i asked them to cancel my pro membership from 1 MONTH!!! But they didnt do that for me, and not even send me a email, please dont apply their pro membership.
