I've used all the mamiya RZ lenses and find that the ones that I use the most are the 140mm and the 50mm or 65mm depending on the shoot. I really love the 140mm for portraits. It gives a nice frame and it isn't to flat. So there is still depth to your image. print stickers | sticker printing | printing services | business printing Weakness:
By the way, the lenses are so sharp that you will need to look at the Softar filters when shooting womans portraits, every blemish will be on your negs. Also, the depth of field is very narrow, i have a headshot on the wall in front of me with the eyelashes in extreme sharpness and the ears in soft focus, man its nice! That one was with the 180. Strength:
Excellent edge to edge quality. Build quality is first rate.
Weakness:
Floating element can be easily forgotten, but well worth remembering. A heavy lens. Excellent quality WHEN you get used to it. The floating element is esay to forget to begin with, but the results are worth going through the learning curve to get. Only use between f16 and 22 so cant comment on other appatures, but these are excellent. Sharpness from edge to edge with no sign of colour or flare. Used round the world and has produced front covers. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: Borrowed 50 ULD - simply awesome. |

Weakness:
dont count on the depth of field guide on lens. for infinity - focus on infinity and stop down to 16. need to focus on body and on lens - can be a hassle. a great lens. a little bit soft wide open or stopped down to much. very good preformence from aroud 1 meter to 10 meters. |
