Strength:
Glass, Well built, good boca (Blurry Back Ground), Price.
Weakness:
None This is a very good lens for Portrait work. Some people complain that it is slow, but I rarely use anything less than 5.6 for portraits anyway. And at 5.6 it is razor sharp, I have used the lens I do use the lens wide open before and love the results. One reviewer said it was soft wide open but I think that since the Focal point is so shallow at 3.5 that it is just hard to get your subject perfectly in focus since its manual focus. At F3.5 the lens does blur the back-ground very well, I even like the effect it gives me at 5.6 when the background is a moderate distance off. This was a very good investment. Strength:
Sharpness Good optical quality Built-in Lens hood
Weakness:
Slow(f3.5) Focusing takes time Superb quality for a relatively low-priced lens (compared to the 2.8 version) although I got mine at a real bargain.Very sharp.Accurate color rendition and good contrast. But if you can afford the 2.8 version then go for it. Perfect for portrait, fashion & wedding photography although it''s a bit slow. Customer Service poor Similar Products Used: Mamiya primes Nikon primes & zoom lenses |

Strength:
Good value Mamiya tank-build. Super studio lens.
Weakness:
f/3.5 aperture - consider the more expensive f/2.8 version, if you need to double-up for speed, or the leaf-shutter f/3.8 if you do a lot of outdoors fill-in flash portraits. Fantastic, but studio only probably. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Sharp, not to heavy (compared to the 2.8)
Weakness:
A little soft on 3.5, but from 5.6 and out it`s sharp. A very sharp lens that will not break your back carying it. And is well built. I have never regretted the buy. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: Mamiya 645 80mm2.8 |

Strength:
Solid, light-weight performer. While not equal to Hassy Sonnar, pro results from f/5.6 on.
Weakness:
At this price point, none. A solid, light-weight lens... worth the money, especially used. (I own four.) Avoid the earlier 150/4. Don't hang heavy compendium shades (like the Lindahl) on the front. Great studio, wedding and open-shade lens. Bad for direct sun with flash fill due to 1/60 flash sync. on 645 bodies. Customer Service Top notch. Superb sharpness and excellent handling. IR focus markings
Weakness:
None This is THE lens for portrait work in the 645 world. I have never been disappointed in the performance of this lens. This is the third one I have had over the years (First used one broke, sold second one, bought 3rd new) and would not hesitate to buy one again.
