SUPERLATIVE LENS. Beautifully crafted. Coatings and optics exquisite. For product photography on Sony Digital, this is the very best lens. Focal length is ideal to blur subjects. Concentrates on the main object, where focussed. Controls are well placed adn a real beauty to look at.

None that I can see

I adapted this lens to fit bellows and used Sony a900 digital body for my tests.
I have used SEVERAL lenses in this set up and the Nikkor W180/5.6 shows qualities that none of the other lenses have shown. Contrast is SUPERB, Sharpness OUTSTANDING and the image STANDS OUT.

Beautifully made. Exceptional quality coatings on glass surfaces. Superb images

180mm is somewhat of an awkward focal length for landscape purposes. I use it less than my other focal lengths.

Excellent lens and very price competitive with Schenider and Rodenstock. Nikon glass quality continues to rank among the best in the world.

Never have contacted Nikon for any reason with regard to this lens. Nikon is rumored to be getting out of the large format lens business which could affect long term repair and support.
