Strength:
High manufacturing and optical quality
Weakness:
Somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for. This filter is usually on my lenses at all times. In addition to removing the blue cast from outdoor photos, it also provides protection for the front element of my much more expensive lenses. Although some may argue that filters reduce the optical quality of the photo, I can't see any degradation with this filter. It's well made and optically transparent. Strength:
Glass and thread quality. Brass mount does not bind on the lens. MRC helps prevent lens flare.
Weakness:
None In short, these are great filters for the outdoor photographer. B&W has the legendary quality that comes from precision manufacture in Germany. This is not fluff, this is reality. The glass is first rate -- always easy to clean. The mount has superb threads. I never have a problem with cross threading with these filters. The Skylight is a slightly warming filter that will definitely tone down a scene just a bit. B&W has priced these filters so they are in the reach of almost every photographer.
