Strength:
Solid feel, quality optics--filters do what they are supposed to do.
Weakness:
None yet! I bought both a 58 mm and a 77 mm B & W graduated neutral density filter (2-stop) from B&H. I have used these on four of my lenses--Canon 24-105, Canon 70-300, Canon 50, and Sigma 10-22. The quality of these filters is exceptional. I recently used both of the filters in very tricky lighting of snow-covered mountains in bright sunlight. I took pictures with the filters on and off, and the difference is incredible. The foreground detail with the filters is much better, and the sky and snow colors were unaffected--but somehow they look richer!
Customer Service Excellent Similar Products Used: I have never used a graduated neutral density filter before, so I have nothing to compare this to. |

Strength:
None
Weakness:
Inadequate tinting. They do not conform to their specifications.
I purchased a B+W 49mm and 55mm Graduated Neutral Density filters, both with 2 stop graduation (#502). I had used a Cokin filter for many years and it is indispensible in overcast lighting. But the Cokin is awkward to use and I wanted to replace it with a simple screw on type.
Customer Service Customer service from B&H is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! I have rarely dealt with such rude people in my life. He was insulting from the very beginning. His first comments accused me of damaging the filters! When I asked the guy if he could check if they had other problems with B+W, and if the Heliopan had a better track record, he hung up on me!
