Strength:
-Quality of glass is absolutely unbelieveable. (You get what you pay for.) -Solid construction. When you turn the outer ring, it feels expensive. (It is. You get what you pay for.)
Weakness:
Afraid I will scratch the filter. These babies are so d****d expensive I value them as much as I do my lenses. (You get what you pay for. I started using B+W several years ago and now it's just about all I use. Strangely, I'm just as afraid to scratch the filter as I am one of my lenses because they darn things cost so much! On the other hand, if you want a filter that actually adds to the performance of any lens, it's the only way to go. I have a few "marginal lenses" that I take out to the boonies once in a while. B+Ws actually turn these into fairly decent lenses! (I don't suggest you use this as a criterion for lens purchase.) I have several B+W polarizers. (You get what you pay for.) Strength:
-Quality of glass (German - Schott) just beautiful. -Action is superb. Very tight. No "play" at all between the two rings. -Outer ring brass. Very solid.
Weakness:
-Price. You will pay a lot for quality like this, but it is worth the investment. Gorgeous filter. Unbelievable quality all around. Highly recommend purchasing one (see below). Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Many Tiffen and B+W. |
