* Good optical performance over the range of the zoom
* Reasonably fast fo a lens of its type
* Reasonable price
* "Macro" close focus allows interesting pictures to be taken (but not a true macro lens)

Zoom creep, if the lens is not horizontal! This I find irritating. Maybe a 2-touch zoom would suit me better.
Also, my example has a loose body that rattles and it's not obvious how to fix it; I've tried peeling back the rubber grip to see if there were any loose screws but there weren't(doesn't seem to affect the results, though).

Probably a good lens for someone who occasionally nees focal lengths in this range, e.g. at the zoo or for portraits. I hardly use mine but if I needed it more frequently I think the zoom creep would drive me nutso!

Tokina has had this problem for many years and the two-touch zooms have the same problem. You truly do get what you pay for!!!
