Strength:

robust, well built and a fai size for such a range, metal bayonnet fixing

Weakness:

with a 2x teleconverter it is necessary to focus manually as the metering system on most af cameras can´t focus

good value, easy to handle, good image quality, can´t go wrong with this... I photographed the eclipse using this, a 2x teleconverter from tamron and two polarisers. Great results in a demanding situation

Strength:

A very low cost way of getting in close.

Weakness:

None

A great value for the money. Has stood up well to hiking trips and a trip to China. Takes very sharp pictures at f8, pretty good at maximum aperture. Smooth controls, good hood that allows capping lens and changing filters without removal. I'd reccomend this lens to anyone with an slr for it's cost/weight/quality.
